Chapter Elder: Don Webber

Don Webber

Cincinnati Chapter Elder

I’m Don Webber, Chapter Elder for Cincinnati Bikers for Christ.

I’m a child of the ’60s, was raised Catholic and attended church regularly with my grandparents. I’ve always believed in God and knew Jesus died for my sins and lives today but never really understood how to have a relationship with him.

I was a little shy in my early teen years until I discovered alcohol and other mind altering substances, my inhibitions left me and I was fun and popular. I had my freedom and saw no more need to spend my time in church. I did continue to pray…when I needed something. This led to many years in the wilderness. I worked hard, lived hard and partied even harder.

In 2006 things came to a head and I came oh so close to losing everything – job, family, life. I had nowhere else to turn. That’s when I discovered the relationship I could have with Jesus. I got sober in 2006 and saved in 2007. I started attending a church in 2005 even in my wilderness, I became very involved in church after 2006 and still am.

I started riding and developed a love of motorcycles in the early ’80s, in the early ’90s with a family and small children I found no time to ride and sold my bike. In 2008 I was blessed to buy my Roadking and immediately took it to a bike blessing. I was impressed with bikers who loved Christ and started riding with that motorcycle ministry. In 2010 I was introduced to Bikers for Christ and knew this was my calling. I became Chapter Elder in 2012. I truly love this ministry and am always amazed at the people God allows us to reach by riding a bike! God Bless!!

Founder, Bikers For Christ

I am thankful that God is good, full of grace and mercy. He is able to take the worse situations and make things new. After coming to the end of myself, I realized that serving the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind and strength, was the only way to have peace and fulfillment in my life. It’s my desire to have Him rule and reign in my life every day. He continually changes me, helping me grow in the knowledge and grace that He promises.

I have a beautiful wife named, Esther. She is my soul-mate and partner in the Lord’s work. I have three beautiful daughters, Melody, Sandra and Andrea and grandchildren whom I love with all my heart, and who love me. I am also thankful that I have close friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, literally all over the world.

Serving God and living in His presence is the best high that anyone can experience. God has given me the gift of evangelism and teaching. I have had the privilege of sharing His love and truths with many different types of people, on the streets, in churches and at outreaches. It’s an exciting thing to be able to witness to people about the awesome things God has done and continues to do in my life. In 1987 I was licensed as a minister and in 1990 I was ordained as a pastor. I am able to perform weddings, help with funerals and memorial services, and share the gospel in hospitals, juvenile halls and in the jails.

In 1990, I founded Bikers for Christ International Motorcycle Ministry. In 2003, I began a church in a bike shop called, “Rushing Wind Ministries, ” we now hold our Sunday service, Bible studies and events in a rented space which also houses our BFC Headquarters, and offices. I am the senior pastor and in addition to pastoring the church in Oceanside, California, I travel as an evangelist all over the U.S., and have had the pleasure of leading thousands of people to faith in Christ. Jesus has freed me from the bondage of drug addiction, and other sins. It is a daily battle, but I’ve found that living for Jesus and serving Him is the only way to have real peace and true purpose in life.

Love and Respect, Pastor Fred Z
